My family and I went to the beach over the weekend. You can rent beach umbrellas and chairs but lots of people bring their own. We set up next to this family with a baby and a small kid. They were using normal umbrellas to shield their kids.

During the day, we talked to the family and they seemed nice enough. When we were getting ready to get in the water, the mum asked whether she could lay her baby down under our umbrella, just because she wanted to get some rest from having to hold up an umbrella all the time. She asked us when we would be back. We

said we should be back in an hour or so but we might come back sooner or later than that. No hard and fast rules.
  • 06
We came back 40ish minutes later, and the baby was napping. Like, with a noise machine and everything. We told the mum that we would like to sit down but then she said her baby will be done napping in 20 or so minutes. We said no.

The baby woke up as she was picking her up but settled down pretty quickly. However the mum seemed unhappy about having to hold an umbrella over the baby's head again. She said we were ah_les for "promising" her an hour and not giving it to her.

ForwardPlenty • 14h ago. NtA. If she was that concerned about having to hold an umbrella she would have rented one at the same place you did. You were nice to let her use the umbrella while you weren't using it, but that is as far as the agreement went.

Let's take a baby to the beach, where we're to cheap to rent an umbrella, cuz I can hold one, and then get mad at the neighbors letting me take a little break from holding my umbrella and use theirs. But they returned sooner than they said they would. SMH.

Gruffswife ⚫12h ago Went to the beach one day with my dog. People next to us had a half tent for shade. The dog walked the beach with us, played in the water and eventually got tired.
  • 13
I went to the bathroom and left me dog with my family, when I came back I didn't see my dog, I asked my family didn't know where she was.
  • 14
Then the people next to us waved me to come over, my dog was in their tent, napping. I apologized and went to call my dog, they asked me to let her stay with them. Does she know how to pick them
